3rd line Cisco Network Engineer/East Midlands/£30k-£40k plus benefits

A Cisco based ISP in the East Midlands required a 3rd line Network Engineer to join the team due to expansion. This position is heavily focussed on Cisco products and will involve taking ownership of faults from 2nd line and liaising with the customer to provide exceptional service. Although called a 3rd line Cisco Engineer the role is varied and will involve occasional travel to customer site (I must stress this would be low in volume) and making changes to prep the network prior to new customers coming on board.

Holding strong WAN skills the ideal candidate will come from an ISP/MSP background and be comfortable with the likes of MPLS, BGP, OSPF and general IP networks.

If you come from a multi-vendor background and have skills in the likes of HP, Juniper, Fortinet or others then please still apply for consideration.

Certification in networking for example the likes of the CCNA and CCNP would be advantageous but by no means a pre-requisite.

The client in questions are in exciting times at the moment with new clients coming on board, new developments to the core network and a phase of recruitment that will add to the already outstanding quality of staff.

If this sounds of interest or you would like to find out more information then please get in touch.

The role is within easy commutable distance of the likes of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire with good road links.
