Lead Cisco Engineer/Leicester

Lead Cisco Engineer/Leicester

I have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Cisco Engineer to join a small but growing Cisco partner. This is an opportunity to be part of a highly technical team in a varied role incorporating all aspects of the life-cycle.

Not only will you be a lead engineer on site for installations but a contact for more complex support calls coming through the helpdesk as well as a Field Engineer who will occasionally go to site to fix faults.

The individual in question will have skills in many of the following areas:

Routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, LAN, WAN, VPN and Unified Communications. Clearly, an individual will not be expected to have skills in all of the areas but a willingness to develop new skills is paramount as the job does require the ability to adapt to new technologies, and also to think well outside the scope of our particular responsibility. A university education would be a good indicator of these skills but not a pre-requisite.

Qualifications in one of the following areas would be a minimum requirement.

Cisco Qualifications – CCNP or CCDP Routing & Switching

Cisco Qualifications – CCNA or CCNP Wireless track

Cisco Qualifications – CCNA or CCNP Voice track

ITIL qualifications and/or ITIL Experience
