VOIP / Systems Administrator /East Midlands

A Cisco based client in the East Midlands required a VOIP / Systems Administrator to join the team due to expansion.

Job Description

  • Manage the technical delivery and maintenance of servers, as well as any server enhancement or development tasks.
  • Gather requirements, help to produce functional technical designs and assist with programming and testing activities.
  • Providing assistance to the Client Support Team, help to resolve any customer issues in a responsive and timely manner. Act as a coach and mentor to more junior members of the team.
  • There is an on- call requirement with this role

Working within daytime shifts to help cover the Service Desk which operates: Mon-Fri: 8.00-18.00, Bank holidays and OOH remote on call support.

Knowledge required:

  • Demonstrable experience of developing carrier grade solutions, including tier 1 robustness, scalability and resilience
  • Experience of setting up SIP Trunks
  • Experience of signalling and media path manipulation
  • Extensive experience of working with Linux operating systems, specifically CentOS experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Asterisk.

Fantastic problem solving skills, an analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail.
