Project Manager/Manchester/£30k-£40k plus excellent benefits including car

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join their Technology Consulting Services team, delivering high level, and technology related projects to a new and existing customer base. Relevant experience and the ability to learn quickly, communicate well at all levels, work with 100% commitment and contribute to the success of the existing team of dedicated professionals is vital.

This is a varied, challenging and highly rewarding role with regular opportunity to be involved with emerging technologies, with a very high degree of customer interaction. The role involves planning, scheduling and managing the delivery of a number of consecutive projects up to c150K in value to external clients, within agreed timescales and to budget, from project pre-sales through to sign-off.

The successful candidate should have a proven track record, ideally come from a similar background, delivering multiple, consecutive projects to small to medium sized businesses and have attained, or be working towards at least two of following accreditations:

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Association of Project Management (APM) Practitioner
  • Principles of Change Management (PCM) Practitioner
  • ITIL

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate exceptional project management skills, from a technology background with knowledge in some of the following areas: Storage, Microsoft Windows Server, Server Virtualisation, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Citrix XenServer, XenApp, XenDestop, LAN/WAN and Internet connectivity, Unified Communications, IP Telephony and IT Security.

Additional skills need to include:

  • Ability to work individually and within a team
  • A flexible ‘can do’ attitude and consistent approach
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Working to defined targets for invoicing, realisation, efficiency and quality
  • Ability to prioritise under pressure and work to deadlines
  • Ability to motivate and manage resources associated with projects
  • Excellent report writing/written skills

The successful candidate will be based from the firms Manchester office, with regular travel across the North West of England.
